"I visit websites that help me with Bible study resources" - Jola

Personally, do you think the internet can help our spiritual walk with God?
Yes, I think it can help.

How do you use it personally to help you grow spiritually (do mention some websites and/or blogs you visit that can help a Christian make the best of their time online) or how has it helped you in your spiritual life?

On Youtube, I follow Elevation Church & Gateway Church. Websites like Biblegateway.com and Blueletterbible.com contain useful and helpful resources. These are websites that I visit that help me.

They help me by providing access to information which is relevant for my analysis of the word during Bible study and also provide resources such as podcasts and messages that build me up spiritually.

"What interests you on the internet is a function of your affections" - Eloho

Personally, do you think the internet can help our spiritual walk with God as Christians?
I think the internet is a neutral tool, and can be good or bad depending on one's motive and corresponding action. However, I also believe that what interests one on the internet is a function of where one has set his or her affections. So if Christ truly is my life and I am actively engaged in seeking him, my appetite offline and online will be healthy.

How do you use it to help you grow spiritually in your walk with God (do mention some websites and/or blogs you visit that can help a Christian make the best of their time online)?
I have met amazing believers online, many of which have become actual friends and family. I believe like attracts like and if you are a believer your content will attract other believers to you and vice versa.

@TheLAfamilyfor one is an online group that is focused on having believers spend more time studying the word, that has certainly helped me and showed me other believers with similar interests that I can follow.

DesiringGod.org has amazing content for believers and has greatly helped me maximize my time online. Following the right people also means that I am never far from a timely word. I log into social media and someone I follow shares a gem that God put on their heart just for me. I cannot tell how many times this has come through for me in difficult times.

Sometimes, someone shares a perspective to the scripture but it comes alive so powerfully for me. I am convinced that the kinds of people one follows streamlines the content one is exposed to. I also believe in a balance of life and godliness and so it is also important to be accessible so others can see the love of Christ through us.

With everything, however, there can be too much of even a good thing. Take time to meditate on the word and don't be too focused on sharing every new thing God says to you. Not everything is to be shared. Don't get so caught up trying to share that you become one that doesn't do. The Holy Spirit is available to strike a healthy balance I believe.

"As Christians, we have to be vigilant and wise with the use of the internet" - Alexa

Hi Alexa, do you think the internet can really help our spiritual walk with God?

The internet is like a double-edged sword meaning that it can be helpful, but also malicious. With technology comes greater access to the Word and different ministries worldwide. People have greater resources to access Christian community groups and to also spread the Word of God. The downside includes greater access to porn and negative influences on social media.

With that being said, as Christians, we have to be vigilant and wise with the use of the internet. The internet is such a powerful resource to have at hand.

How then do you use it to help you grow spiritually (do mention some websites and/or blogs you visit that can help a Christian make the best of their time online) and how has it helped you in your spiritual life?

One of the greatest resources the internet provides for me is access to daily Christian podcast and sermons. Since I travel a lot, it is hard to find a church in an area I'll be in for 4-5 days. For that reason, daily podcasts come in handy because they are available 24-7 worldwide. The resources I use are podcasts from Declaration Church in College Station, Breakaway Ministries, and Bethel Ministries. These podcast help me grow spiritually and stay connected to a Christian community abroad. Other online resources I use are Facebook and Skype to connect and network with my loved ones and other Christians.
