All you need to know about Daystar Women of Destiny Conference 2016 #WODC2016



It's that time of the year again when women of all ages gather for a truly impacting experience that has transformed many lives; the 2016 edition of Daystar Women of Destiny Conference.

The annual three-day conference convened by renowned speaker and Pastor Nike Adeyemi is set to hold from April 22 - 24, 2016 at Daystar Christian Center, Plot A3C, Ikosi Road, Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos.


This year's edition will see a speaker line-up of women who have been there and done that, including Funke Felix-Adejumo, Abimbola Davids, Ibukun Awosika, Margaret Sowemimo and Nike Adeyemi.

Full details and schedule
Day 1: Friday, April 22
The conference will kick off at 6pm and will run till 8pm with Margaret Sowemimo speaking.

Day 2: Saturday, April 23
Conference starts at 10am and will run till 2pm with Abimbola Davids, Nike Adeyemi and Ibukun Awosika speaking.

Day 3: Sunday, April 24
1st service - 7am - Nike Adeyemi will be speaking
2nd service - 8:45am - Margaret Sowemimo will take the stage
3rd service - 10:30am - Funke Felix-Adejumo will be speaking
4th service - 12:45pm - Funke Felix-Adejumo will also be speaking.

Yes, there'll be live music and worship led by the women choir of Daystar's Healing Streams (@HealStreams_DCC) and Omenesa (@OmenesaPearls).

Nike Adeyemi (Convener)
Nike Adeyemi needs little introduction, her name reverberates with many young women who've been blessed by her life. She is the founder of The Real Woman Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation in Lagos, Nigeria that brings healing and empowerment to women through seminars, vocational skills training, family school, rehabilitation programmes and the Love Home orphanage.
An architect by training, Nike has an MSc in Architecture from Obafemi Awolowo University OAU), Ife and an MBA Business School, Netherlands; she also trained in Strategic Perspective for Non-Profit Management at Harvard Business School.
She is married to Sam Adeyemi and together they pastor at Daystar Christian Center.

Funke Felix-Adejumo
She is the president of Funke Felix-Adejumo Foundation. She is an accomplished pastor and teacher with deep insight into God’s word; with a deep passion for the women. She has spoken at conferences and seminars around the globe.
Her foundation (Grace Orphanage) is dedicated to making worldwide impact with a special call to restoring dignity to womanhood and equipping women from all over the world.
She has authored more than 50 books, including 'Climbing your sycamore tree: Nurturing your relationships', 'Celebrate!', 'Free to be me', 'Woman: More than a Woman', 'Just a drop of grace' and a lot more. She is married to Bishop Felix Adejumo and they are blessed with four children and two grandchildren.

Margaret Sowemimo
With a mandate to heal the broken hearted and set captives free, Margaret Sowemimo has gone about fulfilling God's purpose for her. She pastors at Harvest Land International Christian Center, headquartered in Powder Springs, Georgia, USA; her Chosen Remnant Christian Ministries has helped many discover and fulfil purpose.
She's an author, wife, mother, speaker and pastor.


Ibukun Awosika
Ibukun Awosika is one woman who has conquered in a field dominated by men - the business world; and she bears the banner of Christ without apology.
She is the founder and CEO of The Chair Center Group with companies such as The Chair Center Ltd., Sokoa Chair Center Ltd., Furniture Manufacturers Mart Ltd., and others.

Abimbola Davids
She is the president of the women-focused NGO, 'Women of Worth Foundation'. Her teachings are inspired and they help women appreciate and regard themselves in higher esteem.
She is certified in Entrepreneurial Management from the Pan African University. She pastors alongside her husband at Global Impact Church. She's on Twitter @bimbola_davids.
