He came for the lost

"For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost" - Luke 19:10.

When Jesus heard it, He said to them, "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance" - Mark 2:17.

Do you feel unworthy of God's love?
Do you feel you're not good enough for God?
Do you sometimes feel that your sins are just "too much for God to forgive"?
Do you sometimes feel that a holy and perfect God wouldn't want to have any business with sinful you?
Or that there's no way back for you with God?
Do you sometimes think to yourself 'maybe I'm not good enough for God to work in and through me'?
Do you sometimes consider your lifestyle, compare with God's standards in His word and see a huge difference?

Well, I have news for you (it's not really NEWS, though)...
You are actually the one God is seeking!
You are the very reason God sent His son Jesus to earth!
If you were perfect, and could keep up your perfection all by yourself, then God wouldn't bother sending His son to bleed and die; you wouldn't need Jesus or anyone else for that matter to save you.

But because we (all humans) are not perfect...
...because we're weak men and women, and are full of flaws and sins reigns in our mortal bodies, God sent Jesus to earth for our sakes...to help us overcome our weaknesses and sins, and lustful passions that beset us
...to pull us out of darkness and into His marvellous light by His saving grace.

We are His "target audience", the ones for whom He specifically and specially came to earth to save.
Yes, Christ did not come for the ones who have it all perfect, but for people like you and me with all our dirt, filth, brokenness, flaws, sins, mistakes, imperfections, and tainted past...we are the ones He left His heavenly throne for. No matter how "dirty" you may feel, He says in His word...
"Come now, and let us reason together", says the Lord, "though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool."

So, if you feel you are not perfect, that you're not good enough, that you've done so many "bad" things in your life, that you're unworthy, then you are exactly the one Jesus came to seek, to reconnect you to God.
You are the one God is seeking so He can lavish His inexplicable and incomprehensible love upon you on an intimate fellowship with Him.

What He expects and requires of you?
No, He doesn't expect perfection in all things from you. And no, He doesn't expect you to not make mistakes.
He requires only one thing - to love Him with all your heart, mind and soul. Yes, He expects you to make mistakes, He only requires that you hunger and thirst after righteousness.

"For God did not send His son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved" - John 3:17.
